Moving and Storage

Moves rarely line up perfectly. The closing date slips, the new lease starts three weeks after the old one ends, or the house is not ready for furniture yet. Two College Movers holds your belongings in between, handled by the same crew and recorded on the same inventory as the move itself, so one company stays accountable from pickup through final delivery.

The most common reason people call us about storage is a gap. You have to be out on the 30th and you cannot get in until the 15th. The usual alternative is renting a unit, renting a truck, loading it yourself, and then doing the entire thing again two weeks later.

We load once. Your belongings go into storage, and we deliver them when the new place is ready. That matters for more than convenience: every extra handling of a dresser or a sofa is another opportunity for damage. Keeping the move and the storage under one crew means everything is padded, wrapped and inventoried a single time.

This works alongside a local move, a long-distance move, or packing services if you would rather not box things yourself.

Fort Collins empties out in May and fills back up in August. If you are leaving Colorado for the summer, paying a full year of rent on an apartment you are not living in is money gone for nothing.

We pick your things up at the end of the semester, store them through the summer, and deliver them to your new address before classes start. Parents booking from out of state are welcome to arrange it on a student’s behalf.

Household furniture, mattresses, appliances, boxed belongings, office furniture and equipment, and specialty items that need extra protection. Everything heading into storage is inventoried and protected with pads, tape and stretch wrap as part of the move. That is included, not an upgrade you are billed for item by item.

Items we cannot store include anything flammable, perishable food, plants, and hazardous materials. If you are unsure about something, ask us before moving day rather than on it.

Before your belongings go on the truck we will walk you through what protection applies while they are in storage and what it covers. We would rather have that conversation up front than after something goes wrong.

If your belongings are going into storage here and coming out somewhere else in the country, we handle that leg too. Your shipment stays on our truck with a defined delivery plan, rather than being transferred through a warehouse or handed between carriers.
